There is no doubt about it...2009 is going to be a BIG year for us.
I finished a project for my babies! Knitted stroller blankets...his and hers.
I always said I would never be a pink for girls and blue for boys kind of mom. Pink and blue are probably my least favorite colors. But somehow, I was sucked into this yarn. I couldn't resist it. Now I find myself loving chocolate and pink and chocolate and blue crib sets... Do the hormones brainwash you into pink and blue???
I also made them hats to match their blankets. I have plans for some booties too!

I have fallen into the same "trap." I didn't want to do too much pink vs. blue, but it happens anyways. The blankets look awesome! I may have to bust out the knitting needles tonight! Oh, or baste a quilt that needs finishing. Shoot. Only so many hours...
Pink and blue aren't a bad choice for your public profile until it is obvious by the childrens' faces what gender they are. You will be asked so often whether they are boy and girl, why not let the blankets answer that sometimes. Although I do have to say that even with the most obvious pink clothing on I was still asked by older ladies if it was a boy or a girl. Cherrie+
I think you are right! It seems you just wake up one day and there you are surrounded in loads of pink/blue!

We had blue everything ... I mixed it up with a bit of red and green.
